WREXHAM is one of the places to be if you're a famous face these days, it seems.

Celeb-spotting in town has become the norm ever since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney became co-chairmen of Wrexham AFC in early 2021.

That, and the Welcome to Wrexham documentary detailing the tale of the takeover and more, has helped to put the football club and the city on the map worldwide.

Fans now come from all around the world to visit the STok Cae Ras, including from the likes of Denmark, Iceland, Brazil, Canada and the USA.

And some very famous faces (aside from Rob and Ryan!) have also been spotted in and around Wrexham's home ground throughout the year.

Here, we take a look back at some of them ...

WILL FERRELL

The Leader:

In straight away with a huge A-lister here.

Ferrell is of course known for his roles in massive Hollywood hits including Anchorman, Step Brothers and Christmas fave 'Elf'.

But back in February of this year, he found himself in Wrexham for the Reds' National League match against Wealdstone.

He even popped into the Turf for a pre-match pint. He's clearly one of us!

PAUL RUDD

The actor without doubt picked the absolute best day to come and watch Wrexham.

Ant-man and Friends star Rudd was there to witness the 3-1 win over Boreham Wood back in April which secured Wrexham's long-awaited return to the English Football League.

He was spotted in the Turf enjoying a pint and singing chants with fans ahead of that now famous match.

And he may have even been in among the on-pitch celebrations when the full-time whistle blew!

HUGH JACKMAN

As if Wrexham's return to the English Football League wasn't enough!

On the opening day of this season - as the Reds played their first EFL match in 15 years at home against MK Dons - Aussie actor Jackman was also in the building alongside Rob and Ryan.

He had previously confessed his love for Wrexham and has since been seen sporting a Wrexham AFC cap on several occasions too.

Sadly though, he didn't prove to be a good luck charm in the season opener as the Reds lost 5-3 to the Dons.

CHARLIE DAY AND GLENN HOWERTON

Rob McElhenny’s 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia' co-stars joined him and wife Kaitlin Olson for a 3-0 Racecourse win over Yeovil Town back in April.

The crew were also on hand to pull pints for fans at The Turf before kick-off and Charlie even took part in the cool-down with Wrexham players post-match (as shown in Welcome to Wrexham season two!).

EMMA CORRIN

Best known for Princess Diana in the popular Netflix series 'The Crown', Corrin will soon appear alongside Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool 3.

She was at the STok Cae Ras back in April to watch Wrexham’s epic 3-2 win over fellow National League title-chasers Notts County on Easter Monday.

ADAM RICHMAN

The Man v Food royalty paid Wrexham a visit back in September when the Reds faced Newcastle United's under 21's in the EFL Trophy.

As well as that, Richman also visited the Turf - where he met landlord Wayne Jones - and popped into the Wrexham Lager brewery.

And he was even introduced to a chip butty for the very first time at the much-loved Jones' chippy!

PAUL SINHA

The Chase star was spotted in town back in October.

He spent time in The Turf after Wrexham AFC's 3-0 win over Crewe in the EFL Trophy.

KEVIN FEIGE

The latest recognisable face to have spent time in Wrexham in December.

Feige was spotted in Wrexham on Saturday, December 16, when Ryan was also in town.

The Marvel Studios president was, like many others listed, seen having a great time in the Turf.

Ryan Reynolds' stunt double Alex Kyshcovych and personal trainer Don Saladino were also in Wrexham that day as the Reds beat Colchester United 2-1.

KINGS OF LEON AND FAR FROM SAINTS!

May Bank Holiday brought about an unforgettable two nights of gigs for Wrexham.

American rock legends Kings of Leon came to the STok Cae Ras, accompanied by former Stereophonics man Kelly Jones' Far From Saints and Wrexham legends in their own right, Declan Swans.

The STok Cae Ras was rocking!

So who could be next to visit Wrexham in 2024?

Countless names are being rumoured via social media, with music icon Taylor Swift among them.

Only time will tell who we will be seeing coming through the turnstiles (or maybe through a side door!) in the new year.
