Wrexham AFC Women have announced a new sleeve sponsor ahead of the upcoming league season. 

Founded by Blake Lively, wife of co-owner Ryan Reynolds, the non-alcoholic drink mixer company Betty Buzz is the new official sleeve sponsor for the women's first team. 

The agreement has been signed for an initial period of two seasons and represents the first partnership solely for the Wrexham AFC Women’s first team.

The Betty Buzz logo will feature on the left sleeve of the match shirts.

Betty Buzz’s founder, Blake Lively, said: “I’m honoured to have the Wrexham AFC Women’s team represent Betty Buzz.

“They stand for all that we aspire to; strength, joy, fortitude, grace and bringing people together in celebration.”

 

The team will wear their new 2022/23 kits for the Genero Adran North League campaign, Genero Adran Trophy and FAW Women's Cup fixtures.

The season is provisionally set to begin on Sunday, September 4. 

Wrexham AFC Women reformed in 2018 and currently play in the second tier of Welsh Women's football having finished as runners up in the inaugural season in 2021/2022. 

Executive Director, Humphrey Ker said: “Betty Buzz and the Wrexham AFC Women’s team has long felt like a great fit.

“Now, we are delighted that the change to the club’s partnership with Aviation American Gin has made this possible.”

American actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took over ownership of the Wrexham AFC club in 2021 with the aim of returning the club to the English Football League. 

Reynolds company, Aviation American Gin, is the official gin partner for the club. 

The shirt with the Betty Buzz logo is not available for purchase and is just for the women's first team on match day.
