THE MOMENT all Wrexham AFC fans have been waiting for has arrived as the club announces its new home kit for the 2022/23 season.

The Reds announced a multi-year partnership with VistaPrint as they unveiled the new strip today (Tuesday, July 26).

That sees VistaPrint, a design and marketing partner to millions of small business - including more than 1.5 million in the UK, become sleeve sponsor for the new shirts.

The sponsorship has been signed for an initial period of two seasons, with the partnership including VistaPrint’s commitment to champion not only Wrexham AFC, but as many Wrexham small businesses as possible.

The VistaPrint logo, to be seen for the first time today on the newly-revealed kit, will be featured on the left sleeve on all three match shirts and appear on the replica home shirts for the 2022/23 and 2023/24 Season.

“We offer a warm welcome to VistaPrint to the Wrexham family, and we will work tirelessly to deliver the maximum amount of benefit it is possible to achieve from the partnership,” said Wrexham AFC Executive Director, Humphrey Ker.

“VistaPrint has a record of supporting local business, which makes them an ideal partner for the club as that is consistent with our desire to deliver benefit for the wider Wrexham community."

Ricky Engelberg, CMO, Vista, said: “VistaPrint is thrilled to partner with Wrexham AFC.

“We have seen how sports help connect communities both around the world and by the stadium.”

“With Ryan, Rob, and Humphrey we look forward to shining a spotlight on the small businesses that truly help make the Wrexham community unique.”

The new home shirt will be available to purchase on Wednesday, July 27 and worn for the first time against Macclesfield FC on Saturday, July 30.

TikTok will remain the front-of-shirt sponsor, while Expedia will continue to be the back-of-shirt sponsor for the 2022/23 season.

Aviation American Gin, the previous sleeve sponsor, remains a valued partner of the club and have consolidated their sponsorship to focus on the club’s trainingwear.

The new home shirt is priced at £44.95 for adult shirts (M to 5XL), £37.50 in children’s sizes (5XS to S), and £29.99 in baby sizes (3-6m to 1-2 years).

The kit - dubbed ‘The Red One’ in a special launch video featuring co-chairmen Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds on social media - features an embossed Welsh dragon design on both the sleeves and back of the shirt.

The all-red shirt also features an embroidered 1934 on the nape, for the second season running, to commemorate the victims of the 1934 Gresford Colliery Disaster.

The kit was modelled by first-team star and Coedpoeth-native Jordan Davies, as well as summer signing Elliot Lee, as part of the launch.

The Leader:

Asked about the shirt, Davies said: “It’s good to see a new and completely different design on the home shirt for the new season.

“As a Welshman, it’s great to see Y Ddraig Goch on the shirt too, and as a local it’s once again a nice touch from the club to include the 1934 tribute to the victims of the Gresford Colliery Disaster on the back.

“I can’t wait to run out at the Racecourse Ground in the new kit this season.”

Wrexham AFC Chief Executive Officer, Fleur Robinson said: “We’re delighted to be able to reveal this season’s home kit.

“The Red Dragons on the sleeve and reverse look great, and we’re proud to be flying the flag for Welsh football in what we hope will be a memorable year for the sport in this country.

“It was also important to the club, as outlined in Rob and Ryan’s Mission Statement, to continue to ensure proper remembrance of the Gresford Colliery Disaster. As ever, we will join the whole Wrexham community in formally remembering the 266 victims in September, and the 1934 on the nape of the shirt ensures this remembrance continues year-round.

“I’d also like to extend our thanks to our partners at Macron for their efforts, and look forward to seeing the kit in action for the first time this weekend.”
