I OFTEN find myself searching for the best places to enjoy a spot of lunch while I am out and about on jobs.

And this week I managed to find a beautiful spot right in the heart of Wrexham.

I had heard great things about Reggie's Artisan Bakery and Kitchen, which is located on Chester Street, right next to Ty Pawb.

Run by Richard Sommer, the business has been running since September 2023.

The cosy spot has kept the character and charm of its years gone by, including original Victorian fireplaces.

Freshly baked goods and locally sourced produce make Reggie's a must-visit for a bite to eat, either as a sit-in or takeaway option.

Upon my visit, I was impressed with the feel of the place, with its traditional decor being a standout feature.

I sat down in the corner of the bakery to order from the menu, having the option of watching the world go by through the large shop window as I did so.

I opted for a latte to drink and that was rich and creamy.

I also liked the cup it came, it was a far cry away from the standard plain white cup you receive at most venues.

For my meal, I ordered the waffle which came with three streaks of bacon and was topped with delicious locally sourced honey.

The bacon was cooked to perfection - not too crispy and not 'soggy' either. The blend of the soft waffle, the delicate bacon and the sweet honey made for a great taste sensation.

I was left impressed by both the treat that I had and the service I received from staff too, which was top notch.

TASTE TESTS

My total came to £11, which is not a bad price overall in this day and age.

It's worth pointing out also that Reggie's offers a lot more than what I had ordered. From paninis to main meals like pasta dishes, there really is something for everyone to enjoy there.

I would highly recommend a visit if you are looking for somewhere that's well worth your time and money in Wrexham.
