HOLLYWOOD star Cillian Murphy was spotted in Wrexham over the weekend, fuelling rumours that the new Peaky Blinders film is being shot there.

The Leader reported on Sunday (December 1) that film crews had been spotted near the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, with large steamboats and a helicopter also in the location.

The Trevor Basin had been shut to members of the public for the day, with onlookers thinking it could've been filming for the new Peaky Blinders film due to the "clothing of the actors".

Perhaps the biggest clue yet could be the fact that Cillian Murphy, the actor who plays the main character Thomas Shelby was spotted wandering around in his suit and flat cap.
