• Ysgol Y Garth, Wrexham
Reception, Year 1 and 2, have recently started their Creative Schools Project in connection with the Arts Council Wales.
Pupils have been looking at shapes in their environment and used the shapes they have found to create some fantastic clay prints.
They have been learning the technique of printing and have made cards and a Welsh dragon using the prints we created.
Youngsters have been looking at the dragon on the Welsh flag and then talking about dragons from around the world.
The children are going to be continuing each week with their creative practitioner to develop their ideas in connection with their local area and the wider world.

• Ysgol Ty Ffynnon, Deeside
Friends of Ty Ffynnon, parent committee at the school, organised a visit from the dinosaur experience company - Teach Rex Roadshow.
The idea was to give all children throughout the school an opportunity to meet a dinosaur!
Younger children had a baby dinosaur visit their classrooms, where they were able to ask lots of questions and learn lots of facts about dinosaurs linked to their topic this term.
Junior children had an opportunity to create a video using green screen technology and a giant dinosaur.
All of the staff and children really enjoyed the experience.
