A MUCH-LOVED band from Wrexham will be playing a gig in memory of a 20-year-old Reds fan this weekend.

Bailey Jones, who died on September 27 of last year, was known for his undying love of Wrexham AFC, following the Reds home and away and being a hugely popular member of the club's fanbase.

A Cefn Mawr resident, Bailey was also a keen darts player, playing in local leagues.

Wrexham band Declan Swans - who were close friends with Bailey - are now set to play a gig in his memory.

The event will take place on Saturday (January 13) at the Holly Bush in Cefn Mawr, with the Swans set to perform from 8.30pm onwards.

"Bailey was a lovely lad who always came to our gigs and knew the words to the songs better than us. A massive Wrexham FC fan who went home and away.

"Let's make it a good night and celebrate his life. See you there Saturday."

Declan Swans have been on an incredible journey over the last three years or so.

After featuring on the Welcome to Wrexham documentary, the band has earned new fans from around the world.

Their hit tune 'Always Sunny in Wrexham' is also now a household song at the STok Cae Ras ahead of any Reds match.

Anyone wishing to attend the Holly Bush gig is being asked to get down there early as it is expected to be a packed out venue.
