A WREXHAM woman is spreading festive cheer on her Christmas-themed mobility scooter.
Alexandra Maguire Rippon, from Caia Park, has become well-known down the years for sprucing up her mobility scooter in seasonal displays - which she even plays festive music from.
And not only does that put a smile on the faces of passers-by, she even hands out selection boxes to children in Wrexham.
Alexandra, who relies on her scooter to get around due to having arthritis and neuropathy nerve damage, handed out nearly 100 in the city centre on Saturday, and will be out and about this weekend doing the same.
"The second they hit the shelves I start to buy them, bit by bit," she said. "I certainly can't afford to do it all at once!
"I just do it to put a smile on childrens' faces and you never know - it may be the only selection pack that child gets, so it makes them so happy. You can't put a price on a child's smile.
"I've been doing the displays on the scooter for years, the kids absolutely love it - and I always get a smile and a wave from people. It's just great to do a little something to spread a bit of cheer."

After Alexandra was seen handing out the selection boxes, people took to social media to praise her for her kindness.
One person said: "I was blessed enough to have witnessed this moment as the little girl was over the moon with her selection box as was the dad.
"It brought her so much joy and really touched me also to witness this act of kindness. So credit to this lovely lady who does this - she has done it for years and it's a really lovely thing to do.
"Bringing so much joy without expecting anything in return."
Another added: "She makes my day when I see her going up Holt Road and in town - keep it up because you spread happiness."
