AN APPEAL for witnesses has been launched after a man died in a crash outside Llangollen last night (December 2).

North Wales Police say they were called to the incident, which took place near the Sun Trevor, at 6.38pm.

The crash involved a car and a motorbike and led to the death of a man, officers added.

Paramedics, NWP officers and Roads Crime Unit staff were at the scene and the road was closed until 2.20am this morning (December 3).

NWP are now appealing for witnesses - in particular the driver of a 'white panel van' - who may be able to help them by providing information.
