THE LAST episode of Welcome to Wrexham's second season aired on Wednesday (November 15) and it brought back a lot of good memories of that day.

Episode 15 "Up the Town?" was the Hollywood ending that everyone wanted as it focused on the Reds title-winning game against Boreham Wood at the Racecourse.

A day after confirming the award-winning docu-series would be back for a third season, fans could sit back and relive the day Wrexham won promotion back to the EFL.

That day will live long in the memory of all Wrexham fans, as after 15 years of pain in the National League, Paul Mullin's second-half brace secured a 3-1 win for Phil Parkinson's side.

It was nervous enough before Boreham Wood scored within the first minute, which seemed to leave Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in shock.

Thankfully, it turned out alright in the end.

During the episode, you get a glimpse into life outside football for some of Wrexham's stars including Mullin, Elliot Lee and Parkinson.

There's also an emotional feature on Jordan Davies and his partner Kelsey Edwards ahead of the birth of their child.

It felt like everything had come together perfectly on that day for the whole club and community to enjoy.

The celebrations and emotions shown by fans before, during and after the game showed how much it meant and only highlighted how special the connection between the club and the community is.

The episode ended with the trophy parade through the streets of the city, as 40,000 people turned out to cheer on their title winners - including Davies and his newborn baby!

There was no sign of the Las Vegas celebrations, but perhaps that's being saved for the start of season three.
