WREXHAM-based artist known for his popular Mullin mural has started a new AFC themed venture.

Liam Stokes-Massey, 37, is a Wrexham born and bred artist who earlier this year amazed the town with his mural dedicated to super Paul Mullin.

The local artist has now taken on a new venture working alongside Ty Pawb small business 'The Personal Present People.'

Together, they are creating unique t-shirts featuring Liam's work, and they have already caught the attention of fans and residents online.

Liam said: "I tend to just start whichever player I feel like or if there's someone who's performing particularly well at the time/is popular.

"Each illustration takes around 40 hours to paint so a lot of time and effort goes in."

Over the years, his talent and enthusiasm has grown leading him to do more and more football inspired work.

"If people like the designs and there's a demand for them, I'd be more than happy to see where this leads", Liam added.

"This season of football is going great so far. I think a lot of people expected it to be a lot less tumultuous than it has been, but to be where we are currently is encouraging."

A spokesperson for The Personal Present People said: "We worked with Liam previously to create the QR code in the Mullin Fat Boar mural.

"A couple of weeks ago he finally agreed to send over a couple of these designs after I saw them hung up and said they would look great on t-shirts. Liam always sends us great quality files to work from so we had the samples ready the same day.

"He was speechless for several minutes when he first saw them. We love this side of the personalisation business as we often deal with things that are very emotional for people.

"There are only the two samples at the moment but Liam has nine other designs ready to go."
