WREXHAM AFC co-chairman Ryan Reynolds posted a heartfelt message to the world in tribute of his wife on her birthday.

The Hollywood star took over at the north Wales club in Ferbuary 2021, alongside friend and fellow actor Rob McElhenney.

Since then, the club has been taken on an incredible journey back to the English Football League following a 15-year absence.

And Ryan has previously admitted that wife and former Gossip Girl star Blake Lively has also become 'obsessed' with all things Wrexham along the way.

The pair have been spotted at Wrexham matches together - including at Wembley, when the Reds sadly lost 1-0 to Bromley in the FA Trophy back in May 2022.

The couple have become known for their habit of winding each other up on social media - particularly for a big occasion.

But, for Blake's 36th birthday on August 25, Ryan provided something a little sweeter this time around.

Paying tribute to his wife via Facebook, he wrote: "The only thing irrevocably mine in the world is the love, appreciation and awe I feel for this person.

"Witnessing her life is something I couldn’t take for granted if I tried. And believe me, I try. Happy Birthday, Blakey. You hung the damn moon."

The couple, who now have four children together, reportedly first met in early 2010 while filming Green Lantern, in which they co-starred.

They then began dating in October 2011 before marrying in South Carolina on September 9, 2012.
