WREXHAM AFC co-owner Ryan Reynolds has revealed that his wife - Blake Lively - has become 'obsessed with Wrexham' since the takeover.

Ryan and fellow Hollywood star Rob McElhenney officially completed their takeover of the North Wales club in early 2021.

And now the eyes of the world are upon the Racecourse with the 'Welcome to Wrexham' documentary set to premiere in the UK next week.

That will detail the pair's journey with the Reds to date, something Ryan's wife Blake has also had a role to play in.

Wrexham AFC: Will we be seeing Rob and Ryan at Racecourse on Saturday?

The husband and wife team were present along with Rob at the Reds' FA Trophy final defeat to Bromley at Wembley back in May.

And, in an interview with the Associated Press, Ryan has revealed that Blake has, like many of us, well and truly become caught up in the fairytale.

Talking about the moment he told Blake about the takeover, he said: "Well I think at first, like anyone, she was like 'what? What does this entail? What's going to happen when you go down this rabbit hole?

'Because she knows me and I know Rob's the same way, we don't really do anything half-measured, you sort of go all in."

But, he later revealed that his wife has now become just as involved in the project as he is.

Ryan added: "But, she's obsessed with Wrexham, I mean she might be more obssessed with Wrexham, and its possible promotion, than I am.

"She knows all the players now, knows all the personnel. She's there with me at every match, whether I'm at home watching on TV or whether I'm at the actual Racecourse myself, so it's pretty great."
