THE WORLDWIDE interest in Wrexham is set to grow even further this weekend with their latest match aired live in America.

The Reds' popularity has seen an astronomical rise since the takeover of the club by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in early 2021.

And the added bonus of the popular 'Welcome to Wrexham' documentary - which features the pair's takeover journey - has boosted the club's profile even further to people overseas.

Now, Wrexham is set to enjoy even more exposure abroad this coming Saturday (October 15).

That is due to the fact their FA Cup game that day will be shown live on ESPN2 and will also stream on ESPN+.

The kick-off time for the away tie at Blyth Spartans has reportedly even been moved specifically to accommodate viewers in the United States.

It has been re-scheduled to a 1pm kick-off (UK time) instead of the usual 3pm.

A statement from Wrexham AFC read: "Wrexham AFC's FA Cup fourth qualifying round fixture at Blyth Spartans will now kick-off at 1pm due to TV coverage.

"The Red Dragons travel to Blyth for the match on Saturday, October 15, and the fixture at Croft Park will now kick-off two hours earlier."

Wrexham AFC has been allocated 900 tickets for the match.

The winner of the Fourth Qualifying Round game moves on to the official First Round of what is the oldest national football competition in the world.
