Fans of Wrexham's new documentary were given a treat this week with four episodes being dropped, here's what we learned from the first two.

Episodes 12 and 13, titled "Wins and Losses" and "Worst Team in the League" were released on Disney+ yesterday.

Episode 12 focuses on the introduction of Ollie Palmer, Wrexham's rich vein of form and a sad loss for one of their players.

Episode 13 is based on Wrexham's crazy game against Dover at the Racecourse.

Welcome to Wrexham has proved a huge hit since it's release in August, with it generating worldwide interest in the club and greatly increasing merchandise sales.

Here are five things we learned from episodes 12 and 13.

1. Thrown in at the deep end

When Ollie Palmer signed from Wimbledon for £300,000, Wrexham's owners, fans and Phil Parkinson would have been praying that he hit the ground running.

He certainly did that, scoring the winner in his first game against Grimsby.

Although he had to strike up a connection with his teammates pretty quickly as the first time he met them was in the changing room before the game.

2. Ollie Palmer and Johnny Mullins.

Wrexham's star-striking duo were immense last season, netting bags full of goals and pushing Wrexham to Wembley and the playoffs.

Their partnership and friendship is a highlight of episode 12.

The pair are seen sharing lifts from training, having brunch at lot 11, and sharing jokes, including Palmer teasing Mullin about his song.

Palmer said: "I'll score Tuesday and they'll still be singing 'Johnny Mullins'.

A joke that brought a smile to Super Paul's face.

3. Arthur Davies

Jordan Davies and his partner Kelsey Edwards shared their loss of baby Arthur, during episode 12.

The show did a brilliant job of portraying the pair's loss and dedicated the episode in memory of baby Arthur.

It highlighted that there is much more to life than football.

4. Career-ending injuries

In episode 13, Rob Lainton's injury is covered and the full extent is shown.

Lainton suffered a dislocated wrist away at Bromley last year, much to the disappointment of fans.

During his meeting with medics, it was revealed that the injury Lainton sustained could have ended the keeper's career.

Thankfully, Wrexham's shot-stopper appears to be nearing a return to action, after a lengthy layoff.

5. Critics

With Lainton injured, Christian Dibble had to step up to the mark and become Wrexham's number one.

During episode 13, Dibble sheds a light on the abuse he got from fans the previous season and how much that affected him, on and off the pitch.
