ONLINE demand for Wrexham merchandise in America suggests the club has an ever-growing fan base across the pond thanks to the success of Welcome to Wrexham.

According to data analysis from Pattern, daily demand for Wrexham gear spikes 47% each week the day after a new episode of the docuseries, Welcome to Wrexham drops on Disney+; with demand for Wrexham jerseys seeing the largest increase among all products with an average increase of 113%.

In a bid to measure the impact Welcome to Wrexham was having on viewership in the United States, the data science team at Pattern analysed consumer demand for Wrexham AFC team products on Amazon every day of the year so far.

Here are the most popular Wrexham products that are being searched for in the US:

  1. Wrexham AFC jerseys  - which see 113% increase the day after a new episode airs
  2. Wrexham AFC t-shirts - which see a 64% average increase the day after a new episode airs
  3. Wrexham AFC hats - which see 28% increase the day after a new episode airs

 

It comes as the club this week confirmed the financial and social impact the series has had since premiering which has seen the Red's social media following increase by 19.2% and it is likely that it will pass through the 1,000,000 followers' threshold before the first series of the documentary concludes.

The club’s retail website has also seen 185,289 new visitors during the period, who have made a total of 3,543 orders at a combined value of £290,170, when added to club shop sales, the receipts for the period increase to £360,000.
