A NEW scheme to support traders could help a city centre market thrive, it is hoped.

Starting from June 3, traders will benefit from rent-free trading at Wrexham Monday markets during the months of June, July and August.

This will include current and new traders, Wrexham Council has confirmed.

Cllr Nigel Williams, lead member for economy at the council, said: “We are launching this initiative to help support out local outdoor market traders, as well as to grow our city centre markets offering.

“There is no better time to join our growing market trader’s community.”
