A BUTCHERS shop in Llangollen has announced it will close, less than two years since opening in the town.
Denbigh-based Daniel Morris Butchers, at 19 Castle Street, said the decision to close has come with “mixed emotions”, with the business to continue operating its sites in Mold and Denbigh.
The Llangollen outlet opened in 2022, occupying a premises that had been vacated the previous year following the retirement of butcher Gwyn Davies.
But the business will now close on May 11, with plans to cover the Llangollen area through its digital shop, and promising to offer the same quality produce online.
In a notice to customers on social media, Daniel Morris Butchers said: “It is with mixed emotions that we announce the upcoming closure of our physical store in Llangollen.
"We want to extend our sincerest gratitude for the unwavering support and loyalty of our Llangollen store customers over the past 20 months. It’s been a pleasure to serve the town.
“Rest assured you will still be able to shop with us at our Denbigh and Mold Shops and while we will miss the face-to-face interactions in Llangollen, we’re looking forward to a new chapter with our online store and home delivery services.
