LAST year, we put together a list of the best pubs in Wrexham according to Tripadvisor, and now we've collated an update for 2024. 

Recently, we've been putting together lists of Tripadvisor's most highly rated restaurants, places for breakfast, and cafes across Wrexham and Flintshire. 

Now it's time for the 10 best boozers across Wrexham. 

1. Nags Head - Taking top spot is the popular pub located at the bottom of Mount Street in the city centre. The Nags boasts a 4.5/5 rating from 602 reviews.

2. The Boat - Next on the list is the riverside pub in Erbistock. The Boat has a 4.5/5 rating from 458 reviews.

3. The Golden Lion, Rossett - Situated between Wrexham and Chester the popular boozer boasting a big beer garden is third. It has been rated 4.5/5 from 1,202. 

4. The Dog and Pickle, Lavister - The former Nags Head, which is located just down the road from the Golden Lion re-opened under new ownership last year. It has a 4.5/5 rating from 522 reviews. 

5. Cross Foxes, Erbistock - Another pub that re-opened under new ownership last year. After years of being run by Brunning and Price, the Foxes is now led by three brothers. It has a 4.5/5 rating from 783 reviews.

6. Plas Coch - Based on the retail park near Wrexham University, Plas Coch has a 4-star rating from its 883 reviews. 

7. The Beeches - Another pub based between Wrexham and Chester, the Beeches, which is part of the Whitbread Inns chain has a four-star rating from 1,677 reviews.

8. Pant Yr Ochain - The popular pub in Gresford is another boasting a huge beer garden. The Pant is rated 4/5 on Tripadvisor from its 1,408 reviews.
