A RARE watch has gone to auction in Wrexham this week.

The Mayor of Wrexham, Andy Williams and Jon 'PD' Morris the Chairman of Wrexham Legends, announced the opening of an online auction for an exclusive Clogau Limited Edition watch.

The watch is one of 100 that were presented to the Football Association Wales Players before the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Each World Cup player received a similar watch engraved with their own personal shirt number and is limited to just 100 Clogau Brenig precision watches hand assembled by Clogau's watch specialist here in North Wales.

The watch, which has been donated by Clogau is numbered 92 out of 100 in tribute to Wrexham AFC's famous 1992 FA Cup victory over Arsenal.

The limited edition watch also comes with a Wrexham AFC football signed by the Reds Legends Mickey Thomas and Steve Watkin, the goalscorers from the famous cup tie.

The watch will be auctioned online in aid of The Mayor of Wrexham Charities and the Wrexham Legends Charities at: wrexhamlegends.com.

The auction will run until 9pm on Tuesday, March 26 and both the watch and ball can be viewed at the Clogau Store at Eagles Meadow, Wrexham.
