Scottish singer-songwriter Tom Walker is set to perform two gigs in Wrexham over the weekend.

Walker announced via social media on Tuesday (March 12) that he would be making the trip to North Wales to visit places "artists kind of forget about on a touring schedule".

He has already performed similar gigs in Barnsley and Tamworth, now it is Wrexham's turn.

In his post, Walker said: "A while back we asked which small towns that bands and artists kind of forget about on a touring schedule should we be coming to.

"First of all we did Tamworth, then we did Barnsley. This weekend, on Sunday we are going to be heading to Wrexham in Wales. It was one of the top commented places that we should visit.

The 32-year-old added: "Let me know about any local heroes or amazing businesses or cool spots that we should check out whilst we're in Wrexham and I will see you there Sunday."

Walker is known for songs including Leave a Light On, Just You and I and Better Half of Me.
