PARENTS of a Wrexham toddler with a rare health condition are fundraising for improvements to their garden so their daughter can access it in the summer.

Georgia Hooson and Jordan Price’s daughter Halli-Rose, age 2, was born with a rare genetic condition caused by chromosomes in her body.

As a result, it means she is deaf, has to be tube fed and will need a wheelchair as she gets older and continues to grow.

Due to Halli-Rose’s complex needs the couple, along with their second daughter Iris, 5, moved from their small flat in Rhosddu to a three-bedroom bungalow in Hightown.

Georgia said: “The house is getting there, and is much bigger so we can get Halli-Rose around the house much better than we ever would have in that flat.

“But unfortunately the garden isn’t really in a state where we can get Halli-Rose outside and isn’t wheelchair accessible.”

The couple would love to be able to get outside into the garden with their daughters this summer and spend time as a family.

Jordan said: “It will be so amazing to be able to spend time in the garden with Halli-Rose and Iris.

“Because of how rare Halli-Rose’s condition is, we don’t really know what to expect for the future and are taking each day as it comes.

“Our time is precious and being able to use our garden would be amazing.”

The couple have had quotes for £1,500 to £2,000 to have some work done, such as putting a patio down and some artificial grass so they can take the push chairs and a wheelchair out.

They have started a GoFundMe page and are kindly asking for donations of any size to help them during this challenging time.

Georgia added: “This is not something we can afford on our own, so if anyone can help donate to our fundraiser for the garden we would be so very grateful."

Both Georgia and Jordan have said their summer goal is to get their dream family garden, completely accessible for their daughter, so that she can spend quality time with her older sister and parents.

The family continue to express their gratitude for the support they have received since being vocal about their journey.
