A MUCH-loved Wrexham actor has returned to our TV screens this week in a new BBC drama.

Mark Lewis Jones has starred in the likes of 'Stella', 'Keeping Faith', 'Outlander' and even huge titles like Star Wars and Game of Thrones during his successful career to date.

Last year, the 58-year-old who was born and raised in Rhos, also starred in the controversial drama series 'The Reckoning', depicting the life and crimes of Jimmy Savile.

A few months later, he appeared as 'Eddie O'Connor' in the feature-length drama 'Men Up'.

This week, Lewis Jones returned to the screen in BBC's new drama; 'The Way'.

Hollywood star Michael Sheen (who also stars in the show) makes his directorial debut with three-part BBC series depicting one family's journey as they leave their home town, Port Talbot, after a civil uprising.

Luke Evans (Nine Perfect Strangers, The Pembrokeshire Murders) stars as Hogwood, a mercenary in pursuit of the Driscolls, with Tom Cullen (The Gold, Weekend), Danny Sapani (Killing Eve, The Diplomat), Mark Lewis Jones (Outlander, The Crown), Paul Rhys (Discovery of Witches, Chaplin), Erin Richards (The Crown, Gotham), Aneurin Barnard (The Catch, 1899), Catherine Ayers (The Light in the Hall, Keeping Faith), Patrick Baladi (Breeders, Line of Duty), Georgia Tennant (Staged, Doctor Who), Jonathan Nefydd (Pobol y Cwm, Grav), and Matthew Aubrey (Keeping Faith, World on Fire) all playing key roles across the series.

Child actor Teilo James Le Masurier makes his screen debut in the series as Rhys, the Driscolls' 4 year old grandson.

Lewis Jones plays character Glynn, who works at the steelworks in Port Talbot and often disagrees with Geoff about the best course of action.

Made for the BBC by Wales-based company Red Seam in association with Little Door Productions, The Way was filmed in and around Port Talbot. 

The new drama was written by James Graham, directed by Michael Sheen, and created by Sheen, Graham and Adam Curtis, and developed and executive produced by Bethan Jones.

The series is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer as of Monday, February 19.
