A TV STAR will be paying a visit to Wrexham next week, as part of an event put on by an acting academy.

The Wrexham Academy of Screen Acting was launched by former Coronation Street actor Dean Fagan back in October 2023.

On launch day, Dean - who portrayed mechanic Luke Britton on the ITV show between 2014 and 2018 - hosted a free introductory class.

Next week, he will be joined by another former Corrie star, Ian Puleston-Davies at an event put on by the academy.

As well as portraying Owen Armstrong on the much-loved soap between 2010 and 2015, the Flint-born actor has also starred in the likes of Silent Witness, Waterloo Road, Midsomer Murders and more over the years.
