FLOOD alerts are in place across Flintshire and Wrexham following a day of heavy rain and snow.
Natural Resources Wales has issued flood alerts for the Lower Dee catchment (areas around the River Dee from Llangollen to Trevalyn Meadows), the River Alyn at Rossett and the Alyn catchment (areas around the River Alyn).
The alerts were issued overnight and this morning (Friday, February 9) after a day of inclement weather on Thursday.
Motorists have been warned about flooding on a stretch of the A525 Ruthin Road in Wrexham this morning.

According to the Met Office, the weather in north east Wales will remain largely dry throughout Friday and over the weekend.
The latest forecast states: "In the afternoon, it will become drier and some bright spells will also develop, with patchy cloud and a few scattered showers, however. Staying mild.
"Tonight, it is expected to be dry for most with a mix of clear spells and patchy cloud. Towards dawn, the odd shower is likely to push in from the south.
"Tomorrow will start mostly dry with bright spells. However, large areas of cloud will spread in from the south in the afternoon, with the risk of scattered showers, some of which will be heavy."
