A FLINTSHIRE business had to make an impromptu delivery of pizzas as a famous musician rolled into town.

The Pizza Guys, in Buckley, was called on to make a delivery to the tour bus of song-writer and rapper Example on Monday afternoon.

The hip-hop star was in town for a sell-out gig at The Tivoli on Monday night.

Dan Horton is owner of the Pizza Guys, which is situated on The Blue Anchor pub car park.

He explained: "We got a random message off Example's manager, Micky, who turned out to be an extremely nice person. First thought was someone is obviously messaging as a prank as this was around 9am on a Monday morning.

MORE NEWS:

"After speaking to Micky and getting exactly what they wanted myself and one staff member Brad got the shop opened up, as we normally only open Friday and Saturday night. When you get asked to open up and get pizza made for Example - obviously we are not going to say no. We got the pizzas made then dropped off to the tour bus.

"I didn’t initially think we would meet Example himself, but the whole tour bus came out including all supporting acts, and thanked us. They were all really down to earth, and so friendly."

The Leader:

Dan and Brad were given free tickets to the gig, and got a photo with Example, who posted it on his Instagram story thanking them - later describing their pizza as "mega".

Dan said: "It's brilliant for us having only just taken on the business. We have already seen a load of new followers on both Instagram and Facebook.

"I'm not 100 per cent sure yet how many of these equate to local to our business, but hopefully this weekend's sales possibly might reflect these."
