LEADER readers are feeling confident ahead of Wrexham AFC's FA Cup fourth round tie.

The Reds booked their place in that round after a 1-0 win at bitter rivals Shrewsbury Town on Sunday (January 7).

Tom O'Connor's goal at the Croud Meadow stadium was enough to send Wrexham into the fourth round of the historic cup competition for a second consecutive season.

And they discovered their next opponents during the live FA Cup draw made on ITV last night (January 8).

Wrexham will face a trip to EFL Championship side Blackburn Rovers on a date between January 26 and 29 (TBC).

The tie at Ewood Park will be the first time the two sides have met since 1982, when Denis Leman handed Wrexham a 1-0 win.

Our readers have been getting in touch to give us their thoughts on the draw. Here's what they had to say ...

Both Gemma Whittingham and Keith Peters simply said: "Bring it on."

Max Chard told us: "Won't faze us."

Matt Thompson added: "Ewood is a good ground to be fair. That away end will be packed!"

Jason Lewis told us: "A good draw. A decent size stadium and not too far away. I went there once when they were at their peak and Premier League Champions.. a good few years ago now."

Stephen Matthias said: "Decent draw that, big ground so we should take thousands there and dare I say it "winnable"."

Joseph McCafferty added: "Rather this than an away to a Prem team with no chance of progression."

Geoff Hayes said: "Draw away bring them back here for a win. Big team in the next round."

Matt Sidwell said: "Decent draw in my opinion. Blackburn hardly setting the Championship alight, and their form at the moment is awful...not won in five!"

Richard Brady added: "I'll take that. If we're "in tune" it's VERY winnable."

Colin Edwards said: "A good draw lets fill the away end come on LADS do us proud."

Eddie Pearce told us: "Great test for the town! Blackburn are scoring goals in the Championship, but not winning, but Wrexham are scoring and winning, I hope we can pull it off! Best of luck lads, gonna be a cracker as always."

Others were staying ground, like Matty Williams who said: "Will be very tough."

Rick Zee agreed, saying: "50/50 chance to pass!"
