A POPULAR PUB will reopen in a Wrexham village under new management this week.

The Buck as a pub first appears on the map of Bangor-On-Dee in 1865, but it is believed to be much older than that.

Having just undergone an extensive refurbishment in 2022, it is now set to open under new management once more on Thursday (December 14).

It will now be run by Rich Watkin, who will no doubt be a familiar name to many in the Wrexham area.

That is because Rich currently runs the likes of the Maesgwyn Hall and Hill Street Social in Wrexham, along with the Fat Boar sites in Wrexham and Mold.

For now, The Buck will only be selling drinks - however, Rich says that '90%' of those on offer will start with a price of 'four'.

"Yes we will be open for the races on Friday. We will then re-asses everything in the New Year once you’ve hopefully drunk us dry!
