A TEENAGER from Flintshire is celebrating after opening her very own hair and beauty salon.

Macy Davies, 18, from Garden City has achieved her “dream” after she opened her very own salon on Monday (December 11).

Having started off at the age of 17 doing lashes in her dining room, Macy continued with her work and now proudly owns Macy’s Hair and Beauty on Station Road in Queensferry.

Since starting off in her dining room, Macy has trained to become a tutor and now offers her very own academy sessions where she teaches aspiring young people to become beauticians- as well as offering her own treatments including lash extensions and brow treatments.

Alongside her in the salon are lash technicians that she has trained and qualified herself, as well as nail artists and hairdressers.

Macy said: “It has always been my dream to open my very own salon. I imagined doing this at a much older age but here I am, at 18, successfully opening my very first salon.

“I am so excited to get to work with all the amazing girls who will based at Macy’s Hair and Beauty. We have lash techs, nail techs, brow techs and hairdressers and I’m so excited for the Christmas period.

“I wouldn’t have got to where I am now without the support from my family, boyfriend, friends, and of course, my dedicated and loyal clients. I can’t wait to see what the future will bring.”
