EXCITEMENT is growing amongst organisers ahead of this weekend's Christmas Markets in Wrexham.

As communities across Wrexham and Flintshire get into the festive spirit with lights switch-ons and various Christmas treats, this weekend it is the turn of Offa Community Council.

They have partnered with Fair Event Management, the organisers of Wrexham Feast and various market events in the city centre, to create Wrexham's Christmas Markets.

After 'outgrowing' the usual location of Queens Square, the market and winter festival will take place in Bellevue Park.

The event will get underway on Friday (December 8) at 3pm until 8pm, with the Offa community council light switch on taking place at 6.30pm.

The festivities will continue over the weekend, with the market and festival open from 10am - 7pm on Saturday and 10am - 5pm on Sunday.

There will be a host of activities and things on offer throughout the weekend including a Snow Queen show, a gingerbread workshop and live music, including brass bands and school choirs from around Wrexham

There will also be a range of excellent local and national traders, giving a great selection for Christmas gift Shopping.
