A MAN has been arrested following a 'firearm' incident in the Wrexham area, police have confirmed.
North Wales Police say they received a report on Sunday, November 26, about a man being seen brandishing 'what appeared to be a firearm' in the Acton area.
A day later, a man was arrested by armed officers in the Maes y Gornel area of Rhosllanerchrugog on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence.
NWP said on Tuesday (November 28) that the man remains in custody where he is currently being interviewed by officers.

The force has added that it was an 'isolated incident'.
Detective Inspector Dean Jones said: “I would like to reassure residents that this is understood to have been an isolated incident and we have no wider concerns for the safety of the community.
“Anyone with information that may assist our enquiries should contact us via our website or by calling 101, or anonymously via Crimestoppers, quoting reference A187168.”
