A 24-HOUR order has been made in part of a Flintshire village to help police officers tackle incidents of anti-social behaviour.

North Wales Police say the order will be in place in a part of Leeswood between 8.45pm on Thursday, November 23 and the same time on Friday, November 24.

The Section 60 of the Criminal Justice and Police Order Act 1994 allows police officers to stop and search people even if they don't have suspicions about them.

NWP say the decision was made to issue the order to help them reduce instances of anti-social behaviour.

A statement from North Wales Police reads: "In order to combat incidents of anti-social behaviour in recent days, an order under Section 60 of the Criminal Justice and Police Order Act 1994 will be in force for 24 hours from 2045 hours on Thursday 23rd November 2023 for 24 hours in the area of Leeswood as defined in the attached map.

"A Section 60 allows police officers to stop and search people even if they don't have suspicions about them. When a Section 60 is in place anyone can be stopped and searched by the police.
