A UK HOME construction company has donated £300 to a guides group from Wrexham to take a dream trip to London.

Taylor Wimpey, one of the UK's largest home construction company's, has helped a group of Marford Guides look their best for a memorable day in London by funding custom outfits for the trip.

The first Marford Guides unit has been running for more than 30 years and aims to empower local girls aged 10-14 through a range of indoor and outdoor activities. Part of this is through trips around the country, and this summer the leaders were keen to take the girls to see the sights of London.

They were keen for the group to have matching hoodies and T-shirts and approached Taylor Wimpey, who are building new homes at the nearby Kings Moat Garden Village development in Wrexham Road, Chester, to help. The housebuilder donated £300 to ensure that 25 Guides and their leader could have custom outfits for the trip.
