A FUNDRAISER is being held in Penyffordd this October to raise crucial funds for a man who suffered life-changing injuries in a collision.

On January 10, 2022, Ian Tilston had been travelling to work when he took junction 10 of the M56, where two horses had managed to escape from a nearby site.

One collided with his vehicle which left Ian 'crushed inside his car'.

Ian suffered two cardiac arrests at the scene, brain damage and a punctured lung, leaving his family to only recognise him by his nose.

He had his face reconstructed and spent months in a coma at Salford Hospital before being transferred to The Walton Centre for brain injuries.

Ian has been left blind and confined to a wheelchair. Ian spent 16 months in hospital and is now being cared for at Pendine Park Home in Wrexham.

His family and friends are hosting another fundraiser to raise vital funds for his care and physio in the hope that one day he will be able to return home to his family.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 28, at 8.30pm at The Red Lion Penyffordd.
