PAUL Mullin says he is "gutted" not to be at STōK Cae Ras today for Wrexham's season curtainraiser.
The star striker continues his recovery in the USA after suffering a punctured lung in the pre-season friendly against Manchester United.
He has been staying at Rob McElhenney's LA pad over the last few days.
Mullin tweeted on Friday night saying: "Gutted to not be at the Racecourse tomorrow, to hear that roar when the lads walk out that tunnel would have been special!
"The moment you supporters have been waiting for!! Hopefully we can kick off the season with a win!"
The Reds host MK Dons in what is the club's first game back in the English Football League for 15 years.
It promises to be a special occasion in front of a sell-out crowd at STōK Cae Ras
