NOMINATIONS are now open for young people who have made a difference through volunteering in Flintshire.

The 2023 Tom Jones Award for Outstanding Volunteering Contribution by a Young Person is in honour of the late Tom Jones OBE, a founding trustee of Flintshire Local Voluntary Council.

The Flintshire Local Voluntary Council are now seeking to recognise the work of young people volunteering in communities across the county.

Nominations are open for anybody between the ages of 14 and 25 who have made an outstanding contribution through voluntary or community work within Flintshire during 2022 and 2023.

To nominate an individual for an award, residents are asked to complete and submit a nomination form.

The nominee must be:

  • A young person aged between 14-25
  • Volunteering for a charity, voluntary organisation or community group
  • A resident of Flintshire, or volunteering in Flintshire

The closing date for nominations is Friday, August 18.
