A LONG-term project to improve Mold Road and Regent Street in Wrexham has been announced and is currently being developed.

Transport for Wales and Wrexham Council are working together on the new 'Active Travel Scheme' to make it easier, safer and more convenient for people to walk and cycle along Mold Road and Regent Street.

Phase 1 of the plan is developing designs for Regent Street between Station Approach and Hill Street. These will make it easier for everyone to walk and cycle.

They include;

  • New continuous cycle tracks
  • New pedestrian crossings
  • New paving and more greenery
  • A one-way section between King Street and Hill Street

Wrexham residents are being encouraged to share their thoughts and feedback.

The project team will be on hand to explain the proposal and answer any questions during a public drop-in session.

This will take place on Monday July, 17, between 2pm and 7pm at the School of Creative Arts.
