THE MAYOR'S charity concert has raised over £1,400 for initiatives in the area.

Mayor Councillor Haydn Jones and his Consort Liz Jones were delighted to welcome everyone who came and supported the event which was held at Ysgol Bryn Coch last week (March 24).

The evening was a resounding success and raised over £1,400 for the Mayoral appeal which this year supports Mold Community Hospital League of Friends, Mold Alex Football Club and North Wales Bowel Cancer Support Group.

The evening’s entertainment was headlined by Côr Rhuthun and musical director, Robat Arwyn.

Since its creation in 1981, Côr Rhuthun has developed into one of Wales’ most popular mixed choirs.
