THE line-up for this year's Live on the Square event has now been officially announced. 

The popular Mold music festival will return for what will be its fifth instalment on Daniel Owen Square and is sure to be greeted with much anticipation from residents and music fans. 

The date for the event has been confirmed for Sunday, April 30 coinciding with the May bank holiday. 

Speaking ahead of the highly anticipated event, one of the event's organisers, Councillor Pete Dando said: "I have been on the organising committee for Live on the Square since the beginning and it has been amazing and a privilege to give local bands an opportunity to perform in a great location to a fantastic crowd!

"For our fifth anniversary of Live on the Square we have some amazing bands playing a mixture of covers and originals, there will be something for everyone.

"Bands include The Barflys, a four piece Grunge and Punk band from Buckley; The Establishment, a group of local lads from Mold playing a blend of originals and covers from different generations; Fletch, an experienced band from North Wales / Chester; H.U.M.A.N, a New Wave Indie Band from North Wales / Manchester; YETII, a Fuzz / Psych duo that will be amazing with the sounds brought with just two members and Black Light Fever, a Prog Metal to Funk four piece band from North Wales', who all met at Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA)."

Tickets are on sale from this coming weekend, Saturday, April 1, and can be purchased from the first floor of Mold Town Hall, Bargain Booze, Mold Alehouse, Tails a Waggin Mold and KMA Tool Hire.
