A POPULAR takeaway in Wrexham will be celebrating St David’s Day by raising funds for Nightingale House Hospice.

Chip O Dee, on Borras Road just off Holt Road, will be offering fish and chips at lunchtime on March 1 at a reduced price.

The money made will then go to Nightingale House Hospice, which is supporting the event. Chip O Dee said that 100 per cent of the money received on the day will be going to the hospice.

The food will be collection only, and is available to preorder, but payments must be made in cash.

Haci Deniz, the owner of Chip O Dee, said: “We’ve been open two years now. And thanks to my local customers we have been able to establish ourselves to the point where we can give back to the local community.

"Nightingale House Hospice work tirelessly to help and support people through tough times and it’s a privilege for myself as the owner of Chip o Dee to be able to support them.”
