A SERIES of book clubs for adults are starting this month across Flintshire and Wrexham.

Groundwork Training are delivering book clubs in partnership with North East Wales Adult Community Learning (ACL) for those aged over 19, at Caffi Cyfle, Refurbs Buckley and Caffi Cyfle, Alyn Waters Wrexham.

ACL is a joint venture between Flintshire County Council and Wrexham County Borough Council, providing adult learning opportunities and outcomes in their communities.

Those over 19 living in Wrexham or Flintshire are invited to bring in their favourite books and discuss what they read each week in a warm, relaxed environment, with tea and coffee provided.

Jo Pearce, Groundwork Training community tutor said: "The purpose of reading is often forgotten due to our school experiences (often negative). It is a great way to relax and promote wellbeing.

"The group has been devised to promote wellbeing, social interaction and develop literacy skills."

Sessions at Caffi Cyfle, Refurbs Buckley will be held every Tuesday, from 9.30am-11.30am, starting Tuesday, January 24. Sessions at Caffi Cyfle, Alyn Waters are already underway, every Friday, from 12.30pm-2.30pm.
