The king's car was spotted at a petrol station in Chester shortly before his arrival in Wrexham yesterday (Friday, December 10).

His Majesty King Charles III spent a day in Wrexham where he visited the Racecourse and met Hollywood strs and owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

He also visited St Giles Church where he formally marked the conferral of city status on Wrexham.

Then, he honoured the late Queen in a visit to Erddig where he planted a Pontfadog Oak sapling that was gifted to the National Trust during Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.

Before his arrival, the car he would arrive in filled up with fuel at a petrol station on Wrexham Road in Chester.

A video, taken around 11am at a petrol station on Wrexham Road in Chester shows the empty car filling up on fuel shortly before the Kings arrival across the border.

The video also shows the police escort that went along with the car:

Baz Jones, who captured the footage said: “When I pulled up to fuel my car, I thought it was the Duke of Westminster's vehicle at first, so I said the policeman guarding the left side of it, ‘wow, is that the Duke's car?’, and he smiled and said ‘No sir, it's King Charles'.

“I was amazed to actually see it there and it was so unusual to see it at a ‘normal’ garage, it's huge in real life and to think that our actual King sits in it is crazy.  I then asked if it was possible to take a photo and the Policeman said, ‘Of course sir’.

“Then the driver came out and looked at the policeman, nodded to him and they all was gone in seconds.”
