Thanks to Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, Wrexham AFC's global audience continues to grow.

Since the Hollywood pair became co-chairman of the Reds last year, the global interest in the club has increased ten-fold.

That interest intensified even more following the release of their docuseries Welcome to Wrexham.

The Reds and their owners now have a global audience and a serious one at that (apart from Frank Rothwell)

Their recent FA Cup first-round clash at Blyth Spartans attracted an audience of close to 1,000,000 people when it was broadcast on ESPN in the US.

The replay, three days later was also broadcast on ESPN, as was this weekend's game against Oldham Athletic.

When Rob McElhenney took over, one of his ambitions was to make Wrexham everyone's second team and it looks like he's doing that.

So much so, that Wrexham now appear in the top 10 searched teams on Flashscore - a sports scores website.

The Reds are in fine company, sitting alongside the likes of Liverpool, Man United, Barcelona and Real Madrid, who are all footballing powerhouses.

The feat certainly impressed McElhenney, who said: "This is incredible" to be alongside some of the clubs in the top 10.

McElhenney and Reynolds' impact on Wrexham as a club and on the community continues to develop, to the point where they look set to be offered the freedom of the city.

The club certainly seem to be on the up under the pair, and long may that continue.
