Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney believes that this year could be the greatest in the history of sport.

The Always Sunny star was the main driver in his and Ryan Reynolds's takeover at the Racecourse, as documented in Welcome to Wrexham.

Rob has made his love for sports known, with his main attractions being to Wrexham, the Philadelphia Eagles, and Philadelphia Phillies.

The Wrexham co-owner was born and raised in Philadelphia and is proud to show his support for the city's sporting teams.

The Philadelphia Eagles have won all five of their opening home games, while the Philadelphia Phillies have just made their first National League Championship Series in 12 years.

Things certainly seem to be going well for Wrexham's co-owner and it is safe to say he is feeling optimistic.

Rob took to Twitter last night to post the message: "Wow. This may be the greatest year in the history of sports."

Fingers crossed he's right, as Wrexham aim to end their 15-year stay in the National League.
