Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds has revealed that a scene in Welcome to Wrexham makes him miss his dad. 

The documentary, put together by the Deadpool star and his co-chairmen Rob McElhenney has proved a hit since its premiere at the end of August. 

Fans from all over the world have been tuning in every Thursday to get their fix of the latest two episodes. 

Most recently in episode eight, sheds a light on the Hollywood pair's visit to Maidenhead, the first game they attended in person as Wrexham owners. 

It was a disappointing night in the end, with ten men Wrexham losing 3-2. 

Now, Reynolds has shared a scene from episode eight which he says reminds him of his dad.

The scene in question is Phil Parkinson's half-time team talk during that game.

Understandably being frustrated at his side being down a man and trailing 2-1 in front of the owners, Parky certainly didn't mince his words. 

In the documentary, they refer to it as 'Phil's enthusiasm'. 

On his Instagram page, Ryan shared a clip of the scene from the Welcome to Wrexham page, where he said: "Makes me miss my dad."

It's not the first time Ryan has made reference to his dad in the documentary, in one of the early episodes when discussing his childhood sporting adventures, he refers to his dads influence on that. 

Sadly, Ryan's dad - James - passed away in 2015. 

The next episode of Welcome to Wrexham is out on Thursday.
