The Delph was formally the Air products Sports and Social Club. It was purchased last year, completely refurbished and is now being run as an independent bar and restaurant.

One of the Delph's directors, Nicola Wilson said their first year had flown by and they are already looking forward to their second year.

She added: "Our aim was to create a family-friendly venue serving good quality food and therefore it felt like the right way to celebrate our birthday with something fun for all the family.

"We’ve been overwhelmed by the support we have had from our loyal customer base over the last 12 months so wanted to give something back to say thank you!"
