A Flintshire children’s entertainer is hosting free balloon workshops and game events across Flintshire.

Professor Llusern is a children's entertainer who provides bilingual, interactive workshops that use a combination of puppetry, magic and balloons.

The events in Welsh (some bilingual) are part of the Summer of Fun organised by Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam with additional funding from Flintshire Council.

This week on Tuesday (August 2) Professor Llursern is hosting workshops from 10am-12pm at the Daniel Owen Centre in Mold and 2pm-4pm at The Scout Hut in Holywell.

Then on Thursday (August 4) the workshops will take place at the River Dee Centre in Flint from 10am -12pm and the War Memorial Institute in Deeside from 2pm-4pm.

The events are suitable for children in years 1-6 and their families.

The Summer of Fun events will then continue on Sunday, August 14 with a Tales and Trails workshop by Fiona Collins at Bailey Hill starting at 10.30am.

On Tuesday (August 16) Ceri Phillips will be hosting a story and games session from 10am-12pm at the Daniel Owen Centre in Mold and 2pm-4pm at The Scout Hut in Holywell.

The following week of Tuesday (August 23) and Thursday (August 25) Professor Llursern will be back again with a series of Magic Workshops at the prior locations and times.

Throughout the summer a variety of free paddleboarding sessions will also be held at Park in the Past. 

These will be provided by Craig Colville and are open to anyone ages 8-18. 

The sessions have limited spaces and will take place on Wednesday, August 10, 17 and 31 from 6-7pm.
