Wrexham Town Police FC are heading to Liverpool today where they will be playing against Everton FC’s LGBT supporters’ group.

Wrexham police officers are continuing to connect to different groups within the community through football as they prepare to take on the Rainbow Toffees at 3pm today (Sunday, July 3).

A spokesperson for NWP Wrexham Town on social media said: “Wrexham Town Police FC travel to Liverpool later today to play the Everton Football Club official LGBT supporters group the Rainbow Toffees. The group help promote equality and the eradication of prejudice. The game is supported by the The SpeedoMick Foundation

“Our officers play off duty and formed a team earlier this year with the aim of breaking down barriers and forging stronger links with the community.

“Good luck to all those taking part!”
