Police in Wrexham respond to a wide variety of incidents and situations every day.

Wrexham City police received 59 calls for service on Tuesday, which Insp Luke Hughes said is around average at the moment.

Here are some of the incidents officers dealt with:

10.38am: Report of theft. Artificial plants stolen from town centre location – officers tasked for CCTV review. Appears the offence occurred at around 2am.

10.47am – Elderly lady states she and her husband are having a number of issues with anti-social behaviour, most recently damage caused. The Inspector said this is a priority task for the neighbourhood policing team, adding there would be "reassurance and problem solving." He added: "No one should feel unhappy in their own home in our community."

Around midday - Information received that a missing 17-year-old girl (from out of North Wales force area) was in Wrexham. Enquiries undertaken through most of the day until she was located at a residential address.

2.58pm – Report of three juvenile shoplifters in the town centre – have been challenged by staff and have run off after being abusive. Follow up with parents and positive action ongoing. 

3.16pm – Two vehicle collision at Plas Coch roundabout, officers attend with ambulance. Road closed for a short time whilst medical attention sought – no serious or life-changing injuries.

4:36pm – Call from distressed female regarding a seven-year-old child missing. Priority call to all officers - thankfully cancelled soon after when child located safe and well.

4.47pm – Concern for welfare. Female not seen for some time and uncontactable. Officers attend the address and gain entry, found unresponsive. Immediate medical attention sought. Insp Hughes said: "Very grateful for the actions of the informant who had the presence of mind to contact us, likely prevented a tragic incident."

9pm – Report of male walking on the railway line – caution issued on track. Area search undertaken but no one located.

0.51am – Disorder in Abbott Street. Two arrested – one male and one female.

01.59hrs – Burglary Dwelling. Vehicle stolen with keys – enquiries confirm this happened at the same time as the disorder. Insp Hughes said: "Vehicle remains outstanding. It is a White Vauxhall Combo van reg DS70 HNU.
"Vehicle believed to still be local; please help us find it before it is used to commit further crime."
