ONE of Wrexham AFC's Hollywood co-owners has left many a local grinning from ear to ear today (Thursday, May 26) as he posed for photos during his visit.

Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds and 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia' hero Rob McElhenney announced their takeover of the North Wales club a little over a year ago.

Since then, it's been a case of 'lights, camera, action!' on a regular basis for the whole town as the world watches on on what has become an incredible story already.

And the latest chapter of this fairytale has once again brought Rob back to Wrexham itself ahead of a huge clash for the club on Saturday.

The Hollywood actor stopped by at Wrexham Glyndwr University to surprise staff members there - including press officer Rory Sheehan.

He said that 'anything is possible' in the town these days.

Another one who managed to get a picture with Rob was Glyndwr University digital officer, Bethan Rumsey.

Following his visit, she called him a 'lovely guy'.

Rob also posed for further pictures with supporters who were outside the neighbouring Racecourse ground.

One of those who met him was Danny Evs, who was at the ground to collect his tickets for Saturday's match.

Danny even managed to get a 'fist bump' out of Wrexham's co-owner!

It is not known for certain why he was in town but it is rumoured that it was as part of an upcoming documentary on Wrexham AFC.

The floodlights were lit up at the Racecourse late on Wednesday evening with film crews spotted in the area.

Both Rob and Ryan were at Wembley to witness the 1-0 FA Trophy final loss to Bromley last Sunday (May 22) alongside a host of other famous faces.

The Reds will now look to get back to winning ways when they face Grimsby Town in the National League play-off semi final at the Racecourse on Saturday (May 28).
